Select and Edit Subtitle
After uploading, choose from 28 AI-powered subtitle styles, customize position, capitalization and colors, then generate your subtitled video.
Subtiter uses AI to transcribe your video and generate perfectly timed subtitles. In this step you pick one or more visual styles for the subtitles, adjust their position and color, and click Generate. Each style produces a separate output, so you can compare looks before you commit.
1 Choose your subtitle style(s)
Scroll through all 28 styles in the carousel -Regular, Rounded Box, Karaoke, Neon Glow, Typewriter, and many more. Click a style card to select it; click again to deselect. A blue checkmark appears on selected styles. You can select multiple styles at once for comparison -each generates a separate subtitled video.
For full descriptions and previews, see the Subtitle Styles guide.
2 Set position and capitalization
Use the dropdown menus above the style carousel. Position controls where on screen subtitles appear (top, center, or bottom). Capitalization transforms the AI output text (uppercase, capitalize first letter, lowercase, or as spoken). These settings apply to all selected styles.
Position options
| Position | Best for |
|---|---|
| Top | When bottom has faces or action |
| Center | Short clips, reels, Shorts |
| Bottom | Most videos (standard) |
Capitalization options
| Mode | Example |
|---|---|
| AA BB (uppercase) | HELLO WORLD |
| Aa Bb (capitalize) | Hello World |
| aa bb (lowercase) | hello world |
| Default | As spoken |
3 Customize colors
The color picker shows a visual palette -tap to choose or type hex codes directly (e.g. #ff5500). Different styles support different color customizations: text color, background color, and highlight color. Choose colors that match your brand or contrast well with the video.
Contrast tip: White text with a dark box (e.g. Rounded Box) is the most readable on any background. If your video is dark, try bright text without a box (Regular or Neon Glow).
4 Click Generate
Once you're happy with your style choices, position, capitalization, and colors, click the Generate button. The button becomes disabled during generation, and you'll see a progress indicator. Generation creates one output per selected style. When done, the Review step becomes available -you can preview each result before proceeding.
After generation completes, you move to the Review step where you can preview the result.

Tips for better subtitles
Match your brand - Use custom colors and a consistent style across all videos so your audience recognizes your content instantly.
Readability first - Pick high-contrast colors. If in doubt, Rounded Box or Bold Outline are safe choices that work on any background.
Try multiple styles - Select 2-3 styles at once and compare the outputs in the Review step. It costs nothing extra to generate more than one.
Uppercase for short-form - For TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, uppercase (AA BB) capitalization stands out more on fast-scrolling feeds.
